Meaning Behind the Name

Pasiphae is the wife of King Minos of Crete.  She is cursed with the desire to mate with the King’s hansom white bull.  As a result, she gives birth to a bull-headed-hybrid child; the Minotaur.  The humiliated King then builds a maze to hide the creature inside.
